The WildMan Project

WILD WALES

13th - 15th September 2024

Join us for a wild and adventurous weekend in the mountains, reconnecting with nature & re-wilding the soul.

🏔 MOUNTAIN CLIMBING

Explore Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, via lesser trodden and more adventurous routes.

Weather permitting we'll introduce you to scrambling (the adventurous & playful middle-ground between hiking & pitched rock-climbing) under the supervision of an experienced guide.

Previous summit trips have included; Tryfan, Crib Goch, Moel Siabod, Carnedd Llewllyn, and Glyder Fach & Glyder Fawr.

🏊‍♀️ WILD SWIMMING

Immerse yourself in nature's most scenic bathing spots to reap the physiological & mental benefits of cold-water swimming.

We do this as a group experience, ideally after a hot mountain day to cool down and kick-start the recovery process.

👣 HIKING & ADVENTURE

Hiking & exploring some of Eryri's most impressive surroundings; previous trips have explored abandoned slate quarries, waterfalls & rock-pools, vast forests and woodland, sea-cliffs & hills, and low-level technical scrambling terrain.

🔥 ACCOMMODATION

We'll sleep in nature with 2 nights camping under the stars at the foot of Mt Tryfan in N.Wales.

Bathrooms and showers are available on-site, and we're a 10min walk to the lake, and a 5min walk to the mountain path.

🥩 FOOD

We provide everything; the food, the fire, and the fuel.

We gather round open fires to cook as a community, then enjoy some recovery time looking out onto the mountain.

We eat ethically sourced, nourishing food, filling our bellies ahead of an action-packed day to come.

Most dietary requirements can be catered for, and the view from the campsite is stunning!

📍GETTING THERE

The campsite is deep in the heart of The Eryri National Park.

  • You can easily reach the nearest city, Bangor, by rail. Someone will come and collect you for a short 15m drive to the campsite.
  • The site is easily accessible by road, and where possible we arrange and organise ride-shares to keep the cost down.
  • There is a bus service reaching our site, we'd be happy to arrange this for you if requested.
